Approximately half of the police agencies in New Jersey fall under the jurisdiction of the New Jersey Civil Service Commission. The commission requires applicants to take the NJ Law Enforcement Exam (LEE). The LEE uses a commercial exam known as the LEAB-II (Law Enforcement Abilities Battery.)
The 2024 entry-level Law Enforcement Examination (LEE) announced on March 1, 2024. Applications will only be accepted through the Online Application System. Applications must be completed and submitted by 4:00 p.m. on the closing date (April 1, 2024).
